HERE AND ABROAD 


Montreal, June 12th 2025 – The Compagnie Invisible has established itself as an essential catalyst for the creation of innovative live shows in Quebec and around the world. Founded in 2022 in Montreal, this young company brings together exceptional creative minds to shape unique artistic experiences where human performance, cutting-edge technology and immersive storytelling combine to amaze audiences.

 

EMOTION-PACKED PROJECTS BY THE COMPAGNIE INVISIBLE

 

Opening show for the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada 2025: on Sunday, June 15, 2025, under the direction of Daniel Fortin and Sonya St-Martin, La Compagnie Invisible, in collaboration with Octane Racing Group, will orchestrate a vibrant show featuring FAFA KHANEMI JEEN and emerging talent, to celebrate the richness of the local scene.


Les Filles de Caleb Symphonique: From January 22 to 25, 2026 at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts, Grand Théâtre de Québec and Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières, Compagnie Invisible, in collaboration with GSI Musique, will present Les Filles de Caleb Symphonique: a musical and scenic fresco directed by Daniel Fortin and Sonya St-Martin, in tribute to the love story of Émilie and Ovila. Blair Tompson composed the score, and conductor Dina Gilbert will lead singers Stéphanie Lapointe, Lucie Saint-Martin, Elemo and the various symphony orchestras taking part in the tour of this moving show.


The Compagnie Invisible in Asia: In collaboration with its Japanese partner Supa Ninki, Compagnie Invisible will present a human performance show in Tokyo. La Compagnie invisible is delighted to be working alongside talented Japanese artists and to bring their creative approach to the heart of this cultural capital.

 

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION: AWARDS AND HONOURS

 

The career of The Compagnie Invisible and its directors has been marked by a number of prestigious awards, testifying to their talent and impact in the world of the arts and performing arts.


In 2025, Daniel Fortin was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal by the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, a rare distinction in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the arts in Canada and internationally. This recognition adds to a series of prestigious awards, including the NUMIX International Award in 2021 for his role as an international jury member, and the LEA Awardfor Arena Tour of the Year in 2018.


Team members have also received several prestigious awards in the spheres of design, scenography and visual arts, notably within the Applied Arts Awards and Communication Arts, accumulating over 30 awards and honorary mentions over the years.


This international recognition illustrates La Compagnie Invisible's excellence, artistic vision and commitment to pushing back the boundaries of creativity to reach audiences here and abroad.. Their work is on permanent display in the exhibition The Future of Cinema in museums around the world: ZKM Center for Art and Media Technology, Karlsruhe (Germany), Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki (Finland), ICC (lnterCommunicationsCenter) Tokyo (Japan) ACMI (The Australian Center for the Moving Image), Melbourne (Australia), as well as being part of the permanent collection of the Muséée national des Beaux Arts de Québec and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.


The Compagnie Invisible embodies a transdisciplinary approach in which the collective takes precedence over the individual. As Daniel Fortin points out: "We believe in the power of human connection and shared emotion. We put the spotlight on the artists, craftspeople and talents behind each project, because they are the ones who create the magic of the show."


At the helm of this bold adventure are four major figures on the Quebec creative scene.

 

About the partners :

Daniel Fortin is CEO, Executive Creative Director and co-founder of La Compagnie Invisible. An internationally-renowned creator, he combines a wide range of expertise: creative director, stage director, set designer, artistic director, scriptwriter, director, producer and business development strategist. With a career marked by over 400 projects and shows worldwide - from Cirque du Soleil to Moment Factory, Aeroplan, Lacroix skis and the Olympic Tower set design - Daniel Fortin embodies a bold, transdisciplinary vision of the performing arts. His Digital Snow, created in collaboration with the celebrated Canadian late artist Michael Snow, is now on display in museums around the world.

Sonya St-Martin is Head of Human Performance and Production, and co-founder of La Compagnie Invisible. An acrobat with Cirque du Soleil since the age of 11, she now combines multiple roles: creative director, stage director, human performance director, acrobatic choreographer, stage manager, co-producer and casting director. Thanks to her deep understanding of live performance, Sonya excels at creating stagings that are fluid and spectacular, but also safe for the artists. She has worked on major projects for companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Dragone, FIFA, Cavalia and Cirque Éloize. She embodies the essential link between artistic vision and its implementation on stage.

Marc Lapointe is Chief Legal and Financial Officer, and co-founder of La Compagnie Invisible. Formerly General Manager of Gregory Charles Enterprises and a renowned business lawyer, he combines strategic and creative responsibilities, notably as producer, scriptwriter, business development manager and legal expert. Thanks to his rigorous expertise, Marc ensures the financial and legal soundness of each project, contributing to the company's sustainable growth and the realization of its artistic ambitions.

Nathalie Brunet is head of business development and co-founder of La Compagnie Invisible. A seasoned producer and founding president of the Omada artist agency, she draws up business strategies and oversees commercial development. A lawyer by training, she clearly knows how to communicate her vision of artist representation, which she has elevated to a contagious passion. Under her leadership, the agency quickly became the largest of its kind in Quebec, forming strategic alliances with Los Angeles, Toronto and Paris. Her leadership skills create collaborative and stimulating work environments, while fostering strong partnerships with artists, clients and collaborators.
