SIMPLE PLAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE, THE ANTIDOTE,

+ CANADIAN TOUR ANNOUNCED WITH THE OFFSPRING

Canada’s multi-platinum premiere pop punk band, Simple Plan, are back with fresh new music, and a string of tour dates with The Offspring across Canada for the "Let The Bad Times Roll" tour this winter.

Montréal, QC, November 5th, 2021 -- It has been some time since Simple Plan released new music, but the wait is over and fans can rejoice because the Montreal band has been working tirelessly on coming up with The Antidote, a throwback to the classic Simple Plan sound, but with a modern twist. The song, is destined to be a chart topper - a catchy, heartfelt song with a big anthemic chorus full of guitars and grit; honest lyrics that deal with the kind of universal struggles familiar to so many; and a sound that is simultaneously a throwback to what fans know and love from the band, and a few sonic surprises that update the Simple Plan sound for the future.

“We wrote and recorded the song before the pandemic hit,” say the four guys in the band about the first single, “and in lots of ways it has become even more relevant after everything that happened over the last 20 months. A lot of people are going through some tough times right now and the song talks about the importance of having someone or something to turn to when life gets really hard. For a lot of our fans and for us, it’s been music. Its power to heal, comfort and be a lifeline has never been greater and more needed than now”.

Simple Plan have remained an international sensation for over 20 years with worldwide sales topping 10 million and over 1 billion streams across all streaming platforms! The #ImJustAKid trend on Tik Tok has over 4.3 billion views and the #ImJustAKidChallenge hashtag has over 590.9 million views and counting. Plus, they’ve received numerous awards and accolades the world over, and to date they have performed for insatiable audiences in over 60 countries. Their global numbers are astounding:

Twitter: 1 million followers

Instagram: 450k followers

YouTube: 1.3 million subscribers/616,324,726 total view

TikTok: 600k followers/3.6 million likes.

For the members of Simple Plan, however, it’s about the personal connection to each and every fan. With “The Antidote”, they have yet another song that will resonate and hit close to home with their worldwide audience. Produced by Zakk Cervini , who has worked with the likes of Blink-182, Machine Gun Kelly, Grimes, Poppy, and Halsey (to name a few), “The Antidote” was recorded at MDDN Studios in Los Angeles, and promises to be a pivotal moment for the band, who cannot wait to get back to playing live! Luckily, that will be happening, and soon! Simple Plan will be crossing Canada with their good friends from The Offspring this winter, and that much punk rock energy will surely be enough to heat up any room, especially during the cold Canadian winter!
