Montreal, QC (October 27, 2022) – Today, Montreal’s Simple Plan announces the release of a brand-new version of “I’m Just a Kid”, featuring Canadian rising star Lølø, an Amazon Exclusive Single only available on Amazon Music.
20 years ago, their debut album, No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls, featuring “I’m Just A Kid”, was unleashed into the world. The chart-breaking hit was featured in many movies such as “The New Guy”, an introduction to the world for Simple Plan and their music, to a new generation of punk-pop music lovers.
Two decades later, the award-winning hit still touches so many, including a new younger generation, thanks to social media. The #ImJustAKid challenge trend on Tik Tok has over 4.7 billion views and more than 3.41million videos, including clips from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Usher, Drew Barrynore, Venus and Serena Williams.
“It’s not every day that one of your favorite bands of all time asks you to feature on arguably one of the most iconic songs of your generation.” Said Lølø on the collaboration “If you would have told 7-year-old me that one day I would be singing this song WITH SIMPLE PLAN, instead of in my basement alone, I would have probably dropped dead on the spot.
