Innu Nikamu: A 41st edition rooted in the future, driven by
the voices of the territory
Mani-utenam, May 21st, 2025 – From July 31st to August 5th 2025, the Festival Innu Nikamu proudly returns for an eagerly awaited 41st edition in the heart of Mani-utenam.
As the unmissable voice of Aboriginal cultures in North America, Innu Nikamu continues to push back the boundaries by combining heritage, music and unity. Once again, the lineup promises to amaze, dance and unite, in a spirit of openness and pride in identity.
First names to be announced
Ahead of the big unveiling, scheduled for 10 June on CKAU and via Facebook Live, the festival is unveiling a number of key artists :
● Cœur de pirate : an indie-pop icon with sharp lyrics and a magnetic voice.
● Patrick Norman : a true country legend, bringing people together across generations.
● On the Innu side : Shaushiss Fontaine and the group Innun will carry the language and cultural force with intensity and authenticity.

The famous drone show and fireworks, which made a big impression in 2024, is back this year with a brand new visual and soundtrack.
The Mani-utenam Pow-Wow joins the festival celebrations on August 2-3, transforming the site into a vibrant convergence of nations, dance and song.
Families will be once again happy to hear that the Innu Nikamuniss segment, a youth section designed to teach, to create and have fun, is back this year with a host of immersive activities.
A free shuttle service will ensure smooth movement around the site. True to its mission, Innu Nikamu remains an alcohol-free festival, promoting a safe, intergenerational and respectful environment.
ABOUT INNU NIKAMU
The mission of the Festival Innu Nikamu is to promote and enhance Innu culture through music, dance, song and the arts. music, dance, song and the arts. The Festival aims to bring together the Innu communities of Quebec and Labrador, as well as other Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, in a spirit of sharing and respect. The Festival takes place every August in Mani-utenam, on the Côte-Nord. It is also known as one of the largest alcohol-free festivals in Canada.
