Monsieur tout le monde:
André-Philippe Gagnon has returned!
Montréal, November 2, 2021 – André-Philippe Gagnon is very proud to launch the tour of his new one-man show, Monsieur tout le monde! The show will permiere at Montréal’s Théâtre St-Denis November 25, 26 and 27, and at Québec-City’s Théâtre Capitole from December 2-5 and 8-11. It is a highly anticipated return, as André-Philippe’s previous Quebec tour was back in 2010.
“After an extended absence from the Quebec circuit, I am truly happy to be back on tour in the province. I can’t wait to reconnect with my fan base, who has encouraged me all throughout my career,” said the Loretteville-born impressionist.
Monsieur tout le monde or the playlist of our lives
With Monsieur tout le monde, the beloved impressionist succeeds to surprise and innovate once again, with a mond-blowing repertoire of new voices, which organically mesh with a narrative that, without being autobiographical, allows audiences to discover the man behind the artist. Delivered with empathy and humour, the show is both personal and universal at the same time, and thus appeals to everyone (tout le monde!).
Monsieur tout le monde appeals to everyone’s musical memory, by revisiting the songs that constitute the soundtrack of our lives. With more than 80 different impressions, André-Philippe embarks on a unique musical journey, from Robert Charlebois to Hubert Lenoir, not to forget Patrice Michaud, Michel Louvain, and even Tire le coyote. Besides the French-Canadian repertoire, André-Philppe celebrates our cousins from overseas with spot-on impressions of Julien Clerc, Gilbert Bécaud, Johnny Hallyday and Francis Cabrel.
Being perfectly bilingual; André-Philippe’s English playlist is a veritable Who’s Who of the music hall of fame, with David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Joe Cocker, as well as contemporaries such as Pharrell Williams, Black Eyed Peas, and Rag’n’Bone, to name just a few.
Besides the impressive lineup of vocal artists, the show features public figures from Quebec, including our Prime Minister François Legault and a few highly popular hockey personalities.
André-Philippe Gagnon has headlined on the legendary Las Vegas Strip for ten years, and was Céline Dion’s opening act on two of her world tours. Ever since his breakthrough performance on the iconic Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1985, André-Philippe has sold more than a million tickets worldwide, and of course an international version of Monsieur tout le monde is already in the works.
