Odreii drops her latest single "EASY"
Montréal, September 10th, 2021 - Odreii is back with her 6th release this year, extending the summer with a laid back and genre-bending sensual afro-pop vibe that will ease the atmosphere within the first 5 seconds of listen. The Jamaican-Canadian singer songwriter’s lyrics use imagery that gives the listener a warm orange sunset by the ocean type of vibe. Odreii's melodies merge perfectly with the production designed by Pako who carefully synthesized multiple sounds such as electric guitar riffs and moroccan influenced percussive rhythms.
“ When I wrote the lyrics for EASY it felt so effortless and organic it reminded me of why I like making music so much. Less thinking and more vibing. As I was listening to the Neo-soul / Jazzy chord progression the team came up with, which was resting on an unusual time signature, I was like a kid receiving her first dose of sugar. My brain was in a sort of a trance unlocking melodies and visuals that would guide my writing process. I kept visualizing orange and warm colours and I saw myself by the beach watching the sunset with friends sipping on Bacardi with ice. As the production came together, everyone agreed with the effect the song had on all of us. We wanted to create something that calms the mind, commands the body to slow down, and I think we made something really special. A song full of female energy allowing you to escape for 2.54 seconds, which is relatively short so I would recommend leaving it on repeat.” - Odreii

ABOUT ODREII
Born and raised in Montreal, RnB Soul singer songwriter Odreii grew up in a very musical environment. After studying music in London and winning multiple songwriting contests, Odreii came back and toured with Naadei around Canada. Some of those performances included SXSW, Osheaga Presents, MURAL Festival, and Festival des Mongolfieres, where they both opened for Wyclef Jean.
Odreii then worked on her project, and released an EP and a single ''Runs In Mi Blood'' released in May 2019. The single peaked at #3 on PalmarèsADISQ’s chart, featuring the most played tracks on Quebec's english radio stations. Her single Go Solo, a collaboration with DJ Kleancut released in 2020, got them the iHeartRadio artists of the month title in June 2020. Odreii then worked on her first album ‘Sweatin’ Gold’, to be released in fall 2021.
