Montreal, June 2, 2025 – From June 13 to 15, the legendary Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit at the heart of Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal will host the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada. In today’s media briefing, Le Groupe de course Octane, the official promoter of the event, unveiled an ambitious program designed to electrify Montreal and transform the weekend into an immersive and unforgettable experience. This year, the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada deepens its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and showcasing local talent, all while celebrating the unique culture and energy of Montreal.

A DAZZLING LINEUP: LOCAL TALENT IN THE SPOTLIGHT AND UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES
The opening show promises a visual spectacle, with an original production by La Compagnie Invisible, orchestrated by Daniel Fortin and Sonya St-Martin. This unique performance will bring together professional artists and emerging talent from Montreal, showcasing the city’s vibrant arts scene.
Montreal FAFA KHAN, a true Canadian sensation and one of the country's most prominent DJs, will be performing. Known for electrifying crowds at major festivals like îLESONIQ and Festival d’été de Québec, she captivates audiences with her immense talent, unmatched energy, and commanding stage presence.
Quebec alt-pop singer EMI JEEN will bring her powerful, distinctive voice to the celebration, while original choreography will elevate the performance, reflecting the dynamic creativity of the artistic community.
Additionally, the Willingdon School Choir will perform the national anthems during the official ceremony, a touching nod to local youth and talent.
Throughout the weekend, other highlights will include a spectacular flyover by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds to open Sunday’s race, and musical performances such as that of MIKE DEMERO. This Montreal DJ and producer has transformed his childhood passion into a soaring career, amassing over 1.7 million fans with tracks that blend emotion and innovation. Supported by major industry names, he has conquered Canadian airwaves with hits like Night in Paris and Take Me Away (My Love).
The weekend will conclude with a grand closing show on the Heineken Stage, with programming to be announced soon.

F1 ACADEMY™: A HISTORIC FIRST IN MONTREAL
The 2025 edition of the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada marks a historic milestone with the arrival of the F1 ACADEMY™: for the very first time in Montreal, the legendary Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit will host races exclusively featuring female drivers each day, showcasing the best women racers from around the world. This initiative represents a major step forward in inclusivity within motorsport.
This launch in Montreal is a defining moment for the series and a milestone for women's representation in racing. For the first time, every F1 team will fund a car for a female driver—a concrete advancement creating new opportunities for emerging talent.
The F1 ACADEMY™’s commitment extends beyond the track. Its mission is clear: to create pathways for the next generation of women in motorsport. In Montreal, this vision will come to life through concrete initiatives, including exclusive community events throughout the weekend, offering unique experiences with privileged access to drivers, paddocks, garages, and inspiring engagement opportunities. This innovation is designed to optimize travel, streamline site access, and make the experience more enjoyable, while supporting the event’s eco-friendly vision.
With over 97% of spectators using public transportation last year, the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada exemplifies responsible mobility, encouraging the use of sustainable transport modes to reduce the collective carbon footprint and facilitate travel.

The return of the Monster Energy Zone, the Heineken Biergarten, and the addition of the Floralies Zone - a peaceful, nature-filled retreat in the heart of parc Jean-Drapeau - enhance the event’s diverse offerings. Families will also enjoy a dedicated interactive play zone, ensuring the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada remains an inclusive destination for fans of all ages.
