Festival d’été de Québec 2026: Fans Keep the Energy High to the Very End

Québec City, July 19, 2026 – As the curtain falls on the 58th edition of Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ), BLEUFEU is reflecting on a positive 11 days driven by festivalgoers who showed up until the very last note, crowd successes every evening on the Plains, and standout moments for Québec artists, who held their own alongside the biggest headliners.

“Everything we achieved this year is first and foremost thanks to our festivalgoers. They trusted us all the way and embraced every offering, rain or shine. Their loyalty, enthusiasm and exceptional participation are at the heart of this edition’s success. They are the true stars of the FEQ, and we cannot thank them enough,”said Nicolas Racine, President and CEO of BLEUFEU.

New features that enhance the experience

This 58th edition was also marked by the arrival of three new spaces designed to enhance the festival experience. On the Plains of Abraham, the Belvedere offered a new vantage point overlooking the Bell Stage, while Le Pub, at Parc de la Francophonie, became a lively gathering place before the shows, broadcasting international soccer matches open to everyone. On the grounds of the National Assembly, La Promenade brought together partner activations in a welcoming space at the heart of the festival’s excitement.

“We would like to warmly thank the National Assembly of Québec for opening up its space to us, allowing us to install La Promenade, which became the hub for all our partners’ activations. This experience helped enrich the festivalgoer experience,” Mr. Racine continued.

“The diversity and balance of this lineup sustained a strong momentum from start to finish. Festivalgoers turned out with the same enthusiasm for nu metal, pop, electronic music, rock, country and everything in between. That was our hope, but it became a reality thanks to their curiosity and energy. I want to highlight the remarkable performances by Québec artists featured this year. They were moving, confident and in complete command throughout the edition. It was undoubtedly the festival’s strongest edition ever in terms of performances by local artists. Hats off! I also want to emphasize how pleased we are with the improvements made to the fan experience: I believe the Belvedere and the redesigned Place George-V were very well received. We will certainly continue in that direction in the future,” said Louis Bellavance, VP, Content and Artistic Direction.

Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham: major crowds on the Plains

The Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham drew large crowds every evening. Limp Bizkit, The Lumineers, Luis Fonsi, Michael Bublé, Kesha, Gwen Stefani, Muse, Martin Garrix and Jelly Roll each headlined the major events of this 58th edition.

The two major carte blanche performances by Souldia and Patrick Watson also stood out among the festival’s highlights. Surrounded by some of the most important figures in Québec rap, Souldia demonstrated through a show of exceptional scale that he had nothing to envy of the genre’s international headliners. Patrick Watson, for his part, transported the Plains into a dreamlike world through a visual and sonic experience of rare sensitivity that suspended time and deeply moved the audience.

The electronic music evening also made a lasting impression. Despite a delayed site opening due to the weather, a large and exhilarated crowd packed the Plains for Martin Garrix and his impressive stage production. Proof that nothing stops festivalgoers.

A redesigned Place George-V and a new gathering place

The reconfigured Loto-Québec and SiriusXM stages optimized the experience at Place George-V and better connected the site to Parc de la Francophonie.

Transformed into Le Pub during the Festival, it quickly became a new meeting point. Open in the afternoon for broadcasts of major international soccer matches, then reserved for passholders in the evening, Le Pub gave the public a place to connect, enjoy the atmosphere and follow the nearby performances.

The double bill at Place George-V also provided several memorable moments for Québec artists. Evenings led by Les Louanges, Lou-Adriane Cassidy and Gab Bouchard, as well as the meeting of Pierre Lapointe and the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, preceded by a performance from Paul Piché, were among the edition’s standout events. This final evening was also sold out, reflecting the enthusiasm generated by this exceptional gathering. Special mention goes to the exuberant performance by the duo Haute and Freddy just before Les Louanges, which became one of the highlights on this stage.

Miroir Hall of Fame Award: Paul Piché honoured for his career

An artist inseparable from Québec’s musical history and a faithful presence at FEQ for several decades, Paul Piché received the Miroir Hall of Fame Award in recognition of his career and undeniable impact on the festival. Presented on stage by Louis Bellavance, the award celebrated the exceptional journey of an icon of Québec song whose many appearances at the festival have marked generations of festivalgoers.

Intimate stages that continue to bring people together

At Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale, the Hydro-Québec Stage once again allowed audiences to enjoy a diverse program free of charge. Performances by Mike Clay, Ariane Roy preceded by Malaimé Soleil, and Tiken Jah Fakoly were among the notable moments presented at the heart of this welcoming site.

At Place D’Youville, the Crave Stage, FEQ’s second free stage, continued its role as a showcase for emerging talent and new voices in a format especially conducive to discovery. Audiences were notably able to discover Milhan, winner of the Rose Festival’s Emerging Artist Award.

FEQ Sessions: a new way to experience music

Free to attend, the brand-new FEQ Sessions brought together two artists and two musical approaches in an intimate format created especially for the festival. Les Louanges and Bricknasty, followed by Safia Nolin and Klô Pelgag, offered unique musical exchanges featuring songs from their respective repertoires and carefully chosen covers that created a meeting point between their artistic worlds.

Dancing until the end of the night at Extras FEQ

Presented every evening at the Manège militaire, Extras FEQ allowed night owls to keep the party going with an eclectic selection of DJs and producers from around the world. The electronic direction introduced for this series a few years ago continues to be a success and confirms the public’s interest in a nighttime offering that complements the main program.

A collective success

BLEUFEU warmly thanks the artists, production teams, employees, partners, public services, members of the media and everyone who contributed to this 58th edition. Special recognition goes to the festivalgoers, without whom FEQ simply would not be FEQ.
