Recap of the 2025 Festival d’été de Québec:
A Resounding Success for the 57th Edition
Quebec City, July 13, 2025 – The 57th edition of the Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) successfully concludes today after 11 consecutive evenings of music and festivities. Festival-goers gathered in large numbers to enjoy the diverse programming and high-quality performances, once again reaffirming FEQ’s status as a must-attend cultural event in Canada—open-air, in the heart of Quebec City.
Nicolas Racine, President and CEO of BLEUFEU, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the event’s success and the effort behind it: “Once again this year, FEQ allowed tens of thousands of festival-goers to experience unique moments and celebrate music in all its forms. I want to highlight the exceptional work of our teams and the valuable collaboration of our partners, thanks to whom this edition was a great success.”
Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham
The Bell Stage lineup captivated audiences throughout the 11-day celebration. Festival-goers showed up in full force, rain or shine, embracing each evening as part of this musical marathon.
Louis Bellavance, VP of Content and Artistic Direction at BLEUFEU, emphasized the importance of musical diversity: “This year, you could really feel that each performance struck a chord with its audience. As always, our goal was to offer festival-goers a varied musical panorama—something for lovers of big names and for those seeking fresh discoveries. We’re especially thrilled that audiences showed up earlier than ever and discovered the amazing artists we schedule in earlier slots,” he noted.
Breakout star Benson Boone delivered a dazzling performance that held the crowd spellbound from start to finish. French duo Bigflo&Oli lit up the stage with an unforgettable night for francophone rap fans. Their show had the entire Plains dancing and celebrated Quebec music by bringing out Fouki, Jay Scott, and Loud as surprise guests. Last night, the legendary Shania Twain performed in front of a packed crowd, delivering a high-energy, generous show that had the audience singing from start to finish. Rock fans were treated to powerful sets from Slayer and Def Leppard. Tonight, Puerto Rican reggaeton master Farruko will bring the festival to a close with infectious rhythms and electric energy.
Loto-Québec and SiriusXM Stages at Place George-V
The dual-stage setup of Loto-Québec and SiriusXM, relocated to Place George-V, hosted unforgettable nights where crowd enthusiasm reached such heights that the site hit full capacity on four separate occasions. Canadian pop sensation Alessia Cara kicked off the festival in front of a packed venue. Similar scenes followed on electro night with DJ Bob Sinclar, during Matt Lang’s country set, and for the rap night headlined by Ty Dolla $ign, all performing to capacity crowds.
Tonight, Place George-V will resonate one final time in the company of Marie Denise Pelletier, Ariane Roy, Martine St-Clair, Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Brigitte Boisjoli, Safia Nolin, and Rita Baga for D’eux – 30 Years Already, celebrating Celine Dion’s iconic album.
Hydro-Québec Stage at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale and Crave Stage at Place D’Youville
Beyond the ticketed shows, music lovers—with or without passes—enjoyed free performances on two stages. At the Hydro-Québec Stage, highlights included the indomitable Marjo, recipient of the 2025 Miroir Hall of Fame Award, an electrifying set by Choses Sauvages, and a standout show from the talented group Rauz_Ze, who won over the crowd. Aliocha Schneider also delivered a moving performance, joined by Charlotte Cardin to close the night beautifully. On the Crave Stage, Bibi Club and Comment Debord kept the Place D’Youville dancing with vibrant, unifying sets.
Complementary FEQ Activities
Festivalgoers enjoyed a wide array of activities that made their FEQ experience even more memorable. Back again this year at the Armoury, Extras FEQ provided electro dance parties each night after the main shows, featuring live DJs. The six FEQ Pop-Ups throughout the program delighted audiences in a brand-new setting at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale. These surprise performances by mystery artists added a magical touch to the festivalgoers’ experience. Finally, children and families were treated to Petit FEQ, presented by Le Lait at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale, offering a range of free and varied entertainment for all ages.
This brings the 57th edition of the Festival d’été de Québec to a joyful close. Once again, FEQ has celebrated music in all its forms, reaching audiences of all ages. The organization extends heartfelt thanks to the artists, partners, and festivalgoers whose participation is essential to the festival’s continued success. Everyone is invited to join us again next year for the next edition, which will take place from July 9 to 19, 2026.
