of Festival d'été de Québec

Québec, July 14th 2024 –  Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ) concludes today with success, confirming again its position as one of Canada's most significant outdoor cultural events. With a diverse lineup, exceptional musical performances, and mostly favorable weather, the BLEUFEU team reports a positive outcome for this 56th edition of FEQ, delighting hundreds of thousands of festival-goers who gathered from all over to celebrate music in the beautiful city of Québec.

Mission accomplished for the new screens of the Bell Stage

On the 11th day of festivities, FEQ is proud to highlight the incredible impact of the new screen structures deployed for the first time on the Plains of Abraham. These giant screens, resulting from a major technical advancement that doubled their surface area, offered festival-goers an unparalleled visual experience. Spectators enjoyed exceptional image quality, making each performance more visually accessible, regardless of their position on the site. This technological advancement has strengthened FEQ's commitment to offering top-notch productions and maintaining its status as a leader in the music festival industry.

A variety of musical styles that leave no one behind

This year's lineup reflected the diversity of the global music scene. Artists such as Nickelback50 CentJonas BrothersZac Brown BandPost MaloneJ Balvin, and Mötley Crüe shared the stage with bold propositions, such as Alexandra Stréliski's neo-classical grand mass, a highly successful venture that created an unexpected communion between the immensely talented artist and the vast crowd on the Plains.

Louis Bellavance, VP of Content and Artistic Direction at BLEUFEU, emphasizes the importance of the musical diversity offered: "We believe that, more than ever this year, each show found its audience. True to our tradition, we aimed to offer festival-goers a complete musical spectrum. In addition, we take pride in having prominently featured local artists, especially at the Crave Stage and the Hydro-Québec Stage, both of which were free. This underscores our commitment to the Quebec music scene and emerging talents across the board," he notes.
