F1 Academy Makes Historic Canadian Debut During
Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada Weekend in Montreal 2025
Montreal, Quebec – Monday, November 18, 2024 - In an exciting development for Canadian motorsport fans and diversity in racing, F1 Academy is set to make its first appearance in Canada in 2025. The F1 Academy series, spearheaded by Susie Wolff, a renowned advocate for women in racing, will showcase the talents of top women drivers on a global stage during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.
As part of Formula 1 and Groupe de course Octane’s continued commitment to breaking barriers and promoting inclusivity in motorsport, F1 Academy will bring thrilling, competitive racing to the Canadian Grand Prix. This debut event not only marks a milestone for the series but also for women’s representation in motorsport, as each Formula 1 team will finance at least one female driver’s car, furthering opportunities for emerging talent.
The mission of F1 Academy is clear: to create pathways for the next generation of female talent in motorsport. Beyond racing, F1 Academy will host community-driven events in Montreal, providing VIP experiences and engagement opportunities aimed at inspiring young women to pursue their own journeys in motorsport and beyond.
